Nutrition

Nutrition plays a big part at Jacque's House Preschool & Family Care.

We are registered and are subsidized by the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). All meals and snacks are prepared fresh, are balanced and nutritious.

Children learn about nutrition on a daily basis through preparing their snacks and meals, growing their own food in their gardens and talking about how food can help their body grow. We also learn what foods are not that good for us and we avoid foods and beverages high in sugar and chemicals.

Children with special diets are welcome at Jacque's House and we are vigilant in watching for food allergies.

We also keep our parents informed of nutrition trends by posting information in the family website, newsletters, and periodicals. Menus are posted monthly.
